Dragon Hike and Fly Race 2024

PLEASE READ ALL BELOW – Entry is via the form that is at the bottom of the page on the Crickhowell Paragliding website.

The 8th Dragon Hike and Fly is to be held on the weekend of 11 – 12 May 2024.

There will be a fall back weekend, 8 – 9 June, in case of untaskable weather conditions.

The event will be hosted by our friends at Cwmffryd Campsite for the third year running. On the afternoon of the second day, we aim to have a selection of demo wings available to try, as well as a DJ set courtesy of former student DJ Gallago, a curry and refreshments available.

• There will be prizes and an end of event party for you and one supporter or guest with food and drinks included in your race entry.
• Race entry is £90 and will be open for registration in Jan 2024. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram for updates.
• Extra party tickets can be purchased for £10
• Maximum of 60 pilots
• The event will be based out of the Cymffryd Campsite. Pilots and supporters are welcome to stay for £20 for the Friday, Saturday (if required) and Sunday night. Supporters staying are asked to pay £10 per night that they stay. Please bring cash!
• The nominal race distance will be between approximately 50 & 100km
• Pilots MUST be BHPA Pilot rated
• Entrants must have BHPA membership or suitable alternative insurance cover
• Personal accident insurance is recommended
• The Livetrack 24 Registration page will be live before the event, and race details will be sent to all entrants in due course.
