Event info
In the 2018 will take place the Pre-Hang-gliding World Championship and in 2019 Hang-gliding World Championship (FAI Cat. I).
The local terrain makes for interesting task setting and plentiful land-out options. Gemona also has some enviable safety features and a very fast and dedicated mountain rescue team.
Accommodation is available to suit all budgets with hotel, camping, landing field, HQ, bar, free wifi etc, is very centrally located making for a great atmosphere at this very friendly venue. The organisation team is very experienced and motivated to provide the pilots with a high quality competition.
Further, the organisers and local club are able to secure sponsorship from the community to assist with the organising of the competition and give you a better return for your entry fee.

6. Admitted paragliders
The admitted paragliders must be
certified EN 926-2 and EN 926-1 B, C, D and CCC (Civl Competition Class). Paragliders certified EN A or
similar will not be admitted.
All CCC certified gliders must be flown in this
configuration, even if previously purchased in the EN certified version. For these gliders, manufacturers have issued an
upgrade Kit.

All the gliders not included in
the list, must be flown in the original configuration.
7. Validation and Results
The Competition will assign the
title of “ITALIAN CHAMPION 2017”, with a minimum of 1500 points.
The Competition will assign the
title of “CAMPIONATO ITALIANO OPEN GEMONA 2017”, with a minimum of a flown task.
The following rankings will be produced:
- Open Class – International

(with at list 5 participants)

Includes all the partecipants (up
to CCC certified gliders)

8. Complaints
Any complaint must be submitted before 8.30 a.m. of the day following the publication of the provisional results, or within 30 minutes from the publication of the final general results.
9. Participants
The maximum number of participants to the competition is 125.
- 50% of participants will be
selected using Italian General ranking.
- Remaining 50% using WPRS ranking
system.

Selected pilots will receive the

Pilots will have to pay the entry
fee within April 30, otherwise they will be replaced by the next in waiting
list.
A fee of 30,00 euros will be applied to late registration and late payments.

12. Required Documents
The following MANDATORY documents
must be submitted upon registration:
- National pilot Licence
- FAI Licence – Class O
- Receipt of Entry Fee payment
- Third-Party Insurance
Note: All documents must be valid.
For safety purpose, it is MANDATORY to have a LPD and/or VHF radio, tuned on the safety frequency set by the organizers.

Airspace
How to get here
A shuttle service to and from Venice airport will be available immediately preceding and following the competition, if it is needed. Venice airport is around 90 minutes drive from the venue. At Venice airport you can hire cars, use the competition transport or use the rail network for an easy transfer to the Gemona region.
