BORDAIRRACE CLASSIC 
task:
The goal is to walk and fly as far as possible away from the start and to make it back to the start within
33 hours, only by walking or flying. The route is decided by every participant on his/her own. It is not
allowed to use any other means of transport.

Local Rules

local regulations: Starts in southern directions from the Kampenwand are strictly forbidden and lead
to immediate disqualification - cf. attachment 2. It is checked on site and the track logs are searched
accordingly. All starts in southern direction endanger our flight area!!!

equipment: Every participant has to carry his/her minimum equipment which consists of a paraglider
(certified LTF, DHV or EN), harness with protector, helmet, reserve parachute, GPS tracker and a
mobile phone. The equipment has to fulfil the German laws. It is allowed to have a supporter who
provides food, clothes, sleeping bag, …

weather and information about the area:
Weather-related changes to the program (cancellation) will be announced at the latest on Wednesday,
3 May 2017 at 7 pm on the homepage www.bordairrace.com or by telephone from the race director.

Selection and entry fee

participation: The number of participants is limited to 70 pilots (order of application, tandem counts as
one).
registration fee: € 47,--
The fee has to be paid 7 days before the start of the race.

The package includes: start-package, GPS Logger, livetracker, retrieval service (within 20km range) 

categories: solo, ladies and tandem
protest: The fee for protests is € 50,00. Protests must be handed in within 30 minutes after the results
are published. The jury will decide about the outcome.

friday 05.05.2017:
from 17:00: registration at Flugschule Chiemsee
19:00: briefing

saturday 06.05.2017
6:30 – 7:30: hand over of loggers and livetrackers at Flugschule Chiemsee
07:45: weather briefing (mandatory)
08:00: start Bordairrace
from 12:00: livetracking, 60 min time delay
20:00 - 20:00: report back to race committee by phone (mandatory).

17:00: last arrival at start/goal at the Flugschule Chiemsee
18:00: award ceremony
