     We're just waiting for the last 2 pilots to come in and then we will be able to publish the final results. Unfortunately todays task will be devalued because a lot of pilots bombed out early.

     Rumour has it that Emmanuel Nicolas has landed, the sound of a flute has been heard near St Louis.

     Michael Sigel has just landed near St Louis. The suspense is mounting to see how much further Simon Bonfadelli and Emmanuel Nicolas have got. Will anyone make goal today?

     There are only 3 pilots still flying - the Reunion Pied Piper Emmanuel Nicolas and the two swiss pilots - Michael Sigel and Simon Bonfadelli.

     Arnaud Beugnette and Joel Loire have both now landed just short of Le Tampon leaving Michael Sigel, Emmanuel Nicolas, Fulvio Polcini, Simon Bonfadelli and Pierre Muller in the air.

     10 pilots are still flying. Flute playing Reunion pilot Emmanuel Nicolas (5th yesterday). Pierre Muller who owns one of the local flying schools called Air Reunion (11th yesterday), Swiss Gin test pilot Michael Sigel (13th yesterday), French pilot Simon Pellissier, Arnaud Beugnette, Fulvio Polcini, Antonio Golfari, Meryl Delferriere, Joel Loire and Simon Bonfadelli.

     Joel Loire and Arnaud Beugnette are doing really well, they are at 1200m and currently crossing the ravine coming out of one of Reunion Island's 3 large cirques, Cirque de Cilaos.

     A lot of pilots have landed at Pointe au Sel just south of St Leu so we should have their trackers back soon and be able to up date the live leader board.

     The pilots still in the air really need to gain as much height as possible to get round St Louis and to be high enough to pass the ravine coming out of cirque de Cilaos.

     10 or 15 pilots have made it past St Leu and round the corner including French pilot Arnaud Beugnette (23rd in this years French nationals), local pilots Joel Loire (12th in the 2014 Reunion Pre PWC), Ludovic Robert (winner of several Reunion championships) and Clement Hoelter (8th in the French nationals this year and 6th in the Reunion Pre PWC in 2014).

     We re looking forward to the track logs to see which pilot flew under the bridge in the big ravine - rumour has it he was talking a selfie at the time.

     The weak conditions have left pilots scratching with few landing options so a lot have gone out to land on the beach.

     Finding a place to land isn t always easy here Brazilian pilot Andre Becker has just had a prickly time landing in a pineapple field.

     Most of the competitors are very low on the slopes above St Leu making progress slow. The cloud cover has extended out leaving hardly any sunshine.

     Eugene Claase from South Africa is also in the gaggle flying over launch. Good to see it isn t just the local pilots who have managed to stay up.

     Michael Kuffer is the highest in the gaggle currently flying over launch.

     A third gaggle have stayed to climb between the ravine and launch and are now about to pass launch at about 1000 m.

     There is a big gaggle just behind them.

     Yoshiaki Hirokawa has just passed launch in 1st place.

     The lead gaggle are flying past launch at only 500m.

     The lead gaggle are passing very low in front of launch to start a long into wind leg south past St Leu.

     The lead gaggle are taking the 1st turn pt.

     There is a noticeable difference in temperature today it is a lot colder than yesterday.

     About 40 pilots are in a really good position to get a fast start and continue 2km to get the first turn point.

     Most pilots seem to have made it to the start the breeze is coming up launch now allowing the last few pilots to join the 2 start gate gaggles.

     There are 2 gaggles over the ravine one group are using the sun at the entrance and the other gaggle are using the updraft at the back of the ravine.

     As always on Reunion the conditions are very changeable with patches of sunshine fading as soon as you get to them which is making today very tricky.

     Those who decided to watch and wait on launch are now stuck as there is a back wind.

     Other pilots are doing less well and have already landed on the beach below launch.

     10 pilots are now in a nice climb above the big ravine.

     Heading straight to the big canyon in front of the start gate has proved to be the best route rather than climbing in the sun above St Leu.

     A few pilots have now made it over to the big ravine ready to get the start at 11h45.

     The pilots in the air (60% of the field) are now all well below the height of the take off.

     The pilots in the air have abandoned sunny St Leu and are making a brave attempt to fly along the coast right above the beach towards the start.

     Today is going to be a slow day requiring a lot of patience which may be an advantage for the local pilots who are used to these conditions.

     More than half the field have now taken off. So far only 5 have managed to climb above hill height.

     The 1st 30 pilots have taken off the other 50 are eagerly watching them from launch today is going to be a lot more difficult than yesterday.

     The 1st pilots to take off are all heading towards a sunny patch above St Leu to try and gain height. Below them big waves are breaking against the reef.

     The 1st woman to take off was 19 year old French student from Annecy Meryl Delferriere who just started doing PWCs this year.

     Julien Brung is the first pilot to take off today.

     The window is now open and the 1st pilots are laying out to take off.

     Base is 200m above launch the sun is making brief appearances local tandem pilots are taking off every few minutes the wind dummies are maintaining.

     There is less wind today and more humidity than yesterday with softer thermals.

     The wind dummies are just taking off the window will open for the competition pilots very soon.

     Due to the low base there is currently a rebrief to increase the radius of the most southerly turn point giving pilots more options. Task distance 63 km.

     A task has been set. 1st leg north over the big ravine through the start to the Antenne Saline then a long leg south 1 more turn point then a beach goal

     Briefing will be in the next few minutes. Cloud base is less than a 100 m above take off and dropping
